BLUFFDALE, Utah (KUTV) — A multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-15 at the Point of the Mountain led to the closure of four lanes Tuesday afternoon.
According to Lt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol, the incident, involving three vehicles and a semi-truck, occurred around 2:41 p.m. at approximately 15000 South. One male suffered moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles lost its engine due to the collision.
The Utah Department of Transportation anticipates reopening the highway by 10 p.m. Tuesday. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, with traffic delays expected in the area.
