New Video Released in UPS Plane Crash Investigation
WASHINGTON — Federal investigators revealed video footage showing an engine detaching from a UPS cargo plane during takeoff before the aircraft crashed in Louisville last November.
The footage was presented at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) hearings in Washington, D.C., which began today. Witnesses report seeing the engine break away from the aircraft as it climbed from the runway.
Authorities stated the NTSB is conducting a thorough review of maintenance records, flight data, and other critical evidence related to the crash. The hearings are expected to continue through Wednesday.
