TOWN OF TRENTON, Wis. (WKOW) — One person died following a head-on collision Thursday morning on County Highway A in Dodge County.
The crash occurred at 5:55 a.m. and involved a southbound 2011 BMW Alpina sedan and a northbound 2017 Kia Sorento SUV. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office reported that a 46-year-old man from Portage was driving the BMW when he crossed into the northbound lane, striking the Kia.
The BMW driver was airlifted to Aurora Summit Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. The Kia was driven by a 35-year-old woman from Beaver Dam, who was transported to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam, where she was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Team is investigating the incident. Authorities are withholding the names of those involved until family notifications are made.
