One Dead in Marlborough Crash Involving Pickup Truck and School

Marlborough, NH — One person died in a collision involving a pickup truck and a school bus early Friday morning, according to authorities.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:41 a.m. on Route 101 near the intersection with Main Street. A pickup truck and a school bus from the Monadnock Regional School District were involved in the crash. Authorities confirmed that one occupant of the pickup truck sustained fatal injuries; other individuals involved reported non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency responders, including the Marlborough Police Department and local fire units, arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. Medical aid was provided to those injured, and two individuals from the school bus were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

As a result of the crash, Route 101 was closed in both directions for several hours while authorities conducted an investigation and cleared the wreckage. The road was reopened around 11:00 a.m.

Investigation details are ongoing, and police have not released the names of those involved. No students were on the bus at the time of the collision.
