AURORA, Colo. — A motorcycle crash at E. Arapahoe Road and E. Peakview Drive has resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and a car, according to the Aurora Police Department (APD). The two individuals on the motorcycle, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, who was the sole occupant, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
APD's Traffic Investigations Unit is currently on-site, and E. Arapahoe Road at E. Peakview Drive is expected to remain closed for several hours during the investigation. Authorities advised drivers to consider alternate routes, including Smoky Hill Road.
