SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A three-car crash occurred on County Road 39 at Hills Station Road on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in a medevac transport for one driver.

According to authorities, the accident happened around 2:41 p.m. and involved three vehicles. Emergency responders from the Southampton Town Police and Fire Departments arrived on the scene promptly.

One driver sustained serious injuries and was to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment. No fatalities were reported.

County Road 39 was closed in both directions while first responders managed the scene and conducted an investigation. Traffic was redirected, causing delays in the area.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities are reviewing evidence and witness statements. Towing services were called to remove the vehicles involved.
