Franklin County authorities said Monday they may have misidentified the wrong-way vehicle in an April 23 Interstate 270 crash that killed two.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, initial reports stated a red Chevrolet Cruze was northbound in the southbound lanes early the morning of April 23 and collided head-on with a black Audi A3 traveling southbound.
Authorities said the identification of the wrong-way vehicle is under review, and no revised determination has been released.
Two fatalities were confirmed. Additional details on lane closures, medical aid, or tows were not immediately provided.
The investigation remains active, according to the Sheriff's Office.
