ST. GEORGE — All eastbound lanes on Interstate 26 have reopened following a serious collision that occurred this morning.

The incident took place at approximately 8:00 a.m. at mile marker 172, located between the U.S. Highway 15 exit in St. George and S.C. 453 in Harleyville, according to Master Trooper Hannah Davidson of the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Davidson reported on social media at 12:20 p.m. that the lanes had reopened, but advised that normal traffic flow may take time to restore.
