68-Year-Old Woman Killed in Middleton Crash

MIDDLETON, Wis. (WKOW) — A 68-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle near Branch Street and Century Avenue on Thursday morning.

At 5:58 a.m., the Middleton Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting the incident. Officers, along with Middleton EMS and Middleton Fire, responded promptly and initiated lifesaving efforts, according to a press release.

The woman was at the scene. The driver, Tanna Torrez-Centeno, 25, of Middleton, is cooperating with authorities and is currently in police custody. She has been arrested for knowingly operating without a driver's license causing death.

The Middleton Police Department expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office will release the victim's identity after family notification.
