MADISON (WKOW) — A crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian closed part of inbound East Washington Avenue on Tuesday night.
According to Madison Police, officers responded to a report of an unconscious person in a convenience store entryway around 10:15 p.m. When the individual exited the store, they reportedly ran into traffic.
In an attempt to avoid the pedestrian, one driver slowed down, leading to a collision between the two vehicles. One of the vehicles rolled over, and a passenger was transported to a hospital with injuries.
Authorities indicated that the pedestrian fled the scene. The incident is under investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.
