Man Dies After Route 896 Crash in Glasgow, Authorities Say
A 61-year-old man from Bear died on April 16 following a rear-end collision on Route 896 near Glasgow, Delaware State Police reported.
Troopers responded to the two-vehicle crash at approximately 11 p.m. on April 11, where they found Nicholas Petrucci critically injured. He was transported to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries days later.
According to authorities, Petrucci was driving a Ford Fiesta in the right lane when he was struck by a 23-year-old Middletown man driving a Dodge Dakota. Police stated that the cause of the collision is still under investigation, and neither the driver nor passenger in the Dakota was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
