Malta, N.Y. – One person was killed and another was injured in a Tuesday morning car crash near Malta in Saratoga County.
According to the Saratoga Sheriff's Office, the accident happened around 5:37 a.m. on Malta Avenue near Van Aernem Road and the Interstate 87 overpass.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately determined.
One driver died at the accident scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was treated at the scene and released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
