4 Killed in Greenville County Crash on Cooley Bridge Road near Pearson Road

Greenville County, S.C. – Four people were killed in a car crash on Tuesday night in Greenville County.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9 p.m. on Cooley Bridge Road near Pearson Road.

A 2017 Subaru SUV was backing out of a private drive onto Cooley Bridge Road when it was struck by a 2012 BMW sedan traveling south.

The impact of the collision sent the BMW off the roadway where it struck a tree.

All four occupants in the Subaru were killed in the accident.

According to the police, speed and alcohol were factors in the crash and the BMW driver was charged with four counts of felony DUI involving death.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
