Cherokee County, S.C. – A driver was killed in a head-on collision that occurred on Saturday night near Blacksburg in Cherokee County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on SC Highway 5.
A car was driving westbound on the highway when it collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.
The driver of the car was killed in the accident.
The semi-truck's driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
