Greenwood, AK. – A Greenwood High School student was killed in a car crash that happened in Greenwood on Thursday.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the accident happened on State Highway 71 near Palestine Road at around 3 p.m.
A 2017 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a 2022 Ram 1500.
A Greenwood High School student was killed in the accident.
Another girl was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Ram 1500 was injured in the crash and taken to a Fort Smith hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
