New Canaan, CT. – A Florida man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon in New Canaan.
According to the Connecticut State Police, the collision happened around 3 p.m. on Route 15 North just before exit 37.
The 85-year-old man from St. Petersburg, FL. was driving a Lexus 350 RC when he crashed into a Kia Forte that had slowed for traffic.
The impact of the collision caused the Kia Forte to strike a Ford F-150 pickup in the right lane and a GMC Sierra in the left lane.
The Lexus driver was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Kia Forte was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Police say the drivers of the pickup and the Sierra were not hurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
