Attleboro, MA – A serious crash on I-95 resulted in one fatality and significant lane closures Wednesday morning.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. involving a tractor-trailer and a sedan just before exit 4. A person in the sedan sustained severe injuries and required CPR at the scene before being transported to Sturdy Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The Massachusetts State Police confirmed that a man wearing shorts and boots fled the scene. Both vehicles involved sustained significant damage.
No other individuals required medical attention, according to the Attleboro Fire Department.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation reported lane closures at mile marker 4.3, advising drivers to expect delays and seek alternate routes during the morning commute.
