Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-44 in Waynesville, Pulaski County, on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred at 2:15 p.m. when a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, merging onto the interstate, collided with a 2022 Volvo VNL traveling east.
Both vehicles veered off the left side of the roadway, striking median cables.
The three occupants of the Silverado—a 49-year-old male driver, a 39-year-old female passenger, and a 10-year-old male passenger—were all from St. Louis.
Authorities reported serious injuries for both adults and minor injuries for the juvenile, who were all transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for medical treatment.
MSHP indicated that none of the Silverado occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the roadway was briefly affected during emergency response operations.
