PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A 23-year-old Texas man died in a rollover crash on State Hwy 377 on April 4.
At approximately 4 p.m., Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene. Authorities reported that Joel Warren Wallace was driving when his vehicle veered off the road and rolled two-and-a-half times, ejecting two occupants.
Wallace sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the accident report, all three passengers in the vehicle also sustained injuries and were treated at an area hospital.
Emergency responders from multiple agencies were dispatched, and the highway was temporarily closed for investigation and cleanup. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
