NEW ORLEANS — A fatal crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Plum Orchard Street.
According to police, a woman was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained on-site following the incident.
Authorities have not released additional details. The investigation is ongoing.
