Caryn J. Coon, 22, of Forked River Killed in Garden State Parkway Crash
LACEY, NJ — Caryn J. Coon, 22, died in a motor vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway Saturday, Oct. 24, around 2:41 p.m.
The crash occurred in the northbound lanes near Mile Marker 79. Authorities reported that two vehicles were involved. Preliminary investigations indicate that Coon's vehicle collided with another car, leading to her fatal injuries.
Emergency personnel from the New Jersey State Police and local medical units responded to the scene. Coon received immediate medical attention but was pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital. There were no other reported injuries.
As a result of the incident, the northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway experienced significant traffic delays and were partially closed while the scene was cleared and an investigation commenced. Towing services were also on-site to remove the vehicles involved.
