One Dead, Two Injured in Fiery Crash in Southeast Dallas

DALLAS, TX – One person died and two others were injured in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Monday night.

The incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. at the intersection of N. Prairie Creek Road and Lake June Road. Authorities reported that a 19-year-old man, later identified as Raymond Olagues, was driving southbound on N. Prairie Creek Road at high speed when he ran a red light and collided with two pickup trucks.

One of the trucks caught fire, trapping the driver inside. Firefighters from the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department quickly extinguished the flames, but the driver was at the scene.

Olagues and a passenger were both for treatment. The other driver involved sustained only minor injuries, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Olagues has been charged with intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle. The name of the deceased driver is being withheld pending evaluation and release by the Medical Examiner's Office.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and lane closures were established at the intersection as emergency services responded.
