One Dead in Wrong-Way Crash in Lakeville
LAKEVILLE, MN — An 85-year-old man died in a wrong-way crash on Cedar Avenue on Saturday morning, according to Lakeville Police.
Officers responded to the scene, just south of 185th Street West, at approximately 11:40 a.m. A Jaguar XJ was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided with a Tesla Model 3.
The driver of the Jaguar, who sustained critical injuries, was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The 44-year-old woman driving the Tesla from Farmington was also critically injured. No passengers were in either vehicle.
Authorities reported that impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, with more details expected to be released as they become available.
