RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. — A fatal motorcycle crash on MS-43 near Mineral Springs Road claimed the life of a 20-year-old man early Monday.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) reported the crash occurred just before 1 a.m. on January 5. According to MHP spokesperson Darnika Mayfield, a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle operated by Kayden Haden of Pelahatchie veered off the highway and struck a ditch.
Emergency responders pronounced Haden dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and MHP will release further details as they become available. No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
