Hattiesburg Man Dies in Highway Accident
HATTIESBURG, MS — A car accident on Saturday, July 25, resulted in the death of a 32-year-old man.
The incident occurred around 1:27 p.m. near the 6900 block of U.S. Highway 49, when one vehicle rear-ended another due to slowed traffic from a prior accident. The man driving the rear-ended vehicle, identified as Thomas John Carpenter, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to authorities, no other injuries were reported. The Hattiesburg Police Department is currently investigating the crash.
