Idaho Man Killed in Crash Near Libby.

A 54-year-old man from Rathdrum, Idaho, died in a crash near Libby on March 13 at 9:05 a.m.

The incident occurred near mile marker 17 on Highway 37, where the vehicle was traveling southbound. It failed to negotiate a left curve, veering off the road to the right and striking a concrete barrier.

The vehicle then re-entered the roadway, crossed to the left side, and collided with a rock embankment, which resulted in the driver being . Authorities said the driver was on the scene. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle, and the driver was reportedly not wearing a seat belt. The incident remains under investigation.
