Three killed, one injured in Grant County crash.

VAN BUREN, Ind. (WISH) — Three people are dead and one person is injured following a crash in Grant County on Monday afternoon.

According to Indiana State Police, at approximately 12:15 p.m., a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 23-year-old Alexander McGuin of Gas City was traveling eastbound on County Road 600 South near County Road 1150 East when it veered off the road and struck a tree.

McGuin, along with passengers 21-year-old James Clark Jr. of Dunkirk and 19-year-old Gracelynn Daniels of New Castle, died at the scene. A fourth passenger, 22-year-old Michael Reading of Hartford City, was to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities believe that alcohol, narcotics, or both, along with speed, may have contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and police are expected to release further details as they become available.
