DAVIDSON CO., Tenn. (WTVF) — A fire engine crash has closed part of Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville as of 4:42 p.m. on March 26.
According to officials, the incident occurred at the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Fields Drive, blocking all lanes. Metro Nashville Police are on the scene, urging drivers to seek alternate routes.
The Nashville Fire Department reported that a firefighter operating Engine 36 experienced a medical episode, leading to loss of control. The engine struck several telephone poles, parked vehicles, and a building.
The firefighter was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Two civilians sustained minor injuries while attempting to move away but declined transport.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
