Westwood, MA— A 58-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Washington Street Friday at approximately 5 p.m.
The man was found unconscious at the scene and suffered a head injury. Emergency medical personnel treated him before transporting him to a Boston area hospital for further care.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the driver remained at the scene following the incident. The Westwood Police Department is conducting an investigation in coordination with the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office and the Massachusetts State Police.
