GREENACRES, FL — A private jet crash on Sunday claimed the lives of a Texas tech entrepreneur and his family, along with their friends and nanny, shortly after takeoff.

The Learjet, bound for the Bahamas, went down around 3:00 p.m. in a residential area approximately 7 miles southwest of West Palm Beach. Authorities confirmed that Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, their two children aged 4 and 2, and friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, along with nanny Anita Maria Cetina, were on board.

According to East Coast Jets, Jeff Gregory was identified as the pilot, with 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia G. Filgueiras. Both were also among the deceased. “Our prayers go out to Jeff's family and all affected by this tragedy,” the company stated.

Emergency response teams worked at the scene, with some residents displaced due to the incident. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will remain on site for several days to recover wreckage and assess the situation.

Authorities are examining potential factors contributing to the crash, including adverse reported at the time, such as and icing at altitude. Investigators noted signs the aircraft began to disintegrate before impact.
