WASHINGTON CITY, Utah (KUTV) — A man was ejected and killed in a crash on Highway 18 Wednesday afternoon.
The driver, identified only as elderly, was operating a 2026 Kia Carnival eastbound near milepost 25 when the vehicle drifted into the southbound lane and off the shoulder. The Kia rolled multiple times, according to authorities.
Reports indicate that the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident, but the man's injuries were deemed fatal.
The crash has prompted an investigation, with lane closures reported during the response and cleanup.
