Juvenile skateboarder seriously injured after being struck by car in Taunton, police say
TAUNTON, Mass. —
A juvenile was seriously injured after being struck by a car while riding his skateboard in Taunton on Tuesday, October 3, at 4:47 p.m.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Cottage Street and State Street.
According to the Taunton Police Department, the collision involved a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old woman from Taunton.
Emergency responders transported the juvenile male to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, according to police.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Taunton Police Patrol Division and the Taunton Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
