One person was seriously injured Thursday evening in a single-vehicle tractor crash in Harrisburg.
According to a press release from the Boone County Fire Protection District, the incident occurred in the 12300 block of North Route J at approximately 5:18 p.m.
Volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene and located the patient in a field adjacent to the tractor. They provided medical assistance until Boone Health EMS transported the individual to University Hospital.
Nine volunteer firefighters responded to the incident, which involved no other vehicles.
The injured person's condition remains serious, and an investigation is underway.
