DES MOINES, Iowa — A DART bus shelter on Ingersoll Avenue was severely damaged in a suspected drunk driving incident over the weekend.
The crash shattered multiple glass panels and compromised the structure's front support legs, according to officials. Although no injuries were reported, a nearby trash receptacle also sustained damage.
Starting tomorrow, DART crews will begin the removal and replacement of the damaged shelter. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
