Boat Crash Hospitalizes Two on East Okoboji Lake
SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa — Two individuals were hospitalized following a boat crash on East Okoboji Lake on Saturday.
According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, the boat struck a dock and launched into the air before crossing 255th Avenue and coming to rest.
The victims have been identified as 73-year-old Duane Ver Meer and 68-year-old Lisa Ver Meer, both residents of Spirit Lake. Their current medical conditions are not available.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
