LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX News) — A stabbing investigation is underway following a FedEx truck's crash into a residence on Valhalla Drive Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the incident around 9:56 a.m. in the 3300 block of Valhalla Drive, according to the Lexington Police Department. Upon arrival, they discovered a female victim with serious stab wounds alongside the crashed commercial vehicle.
Emergency responders provided medical assistance before transporting the victim to a local hospital, where she is reported to be in critical condition. The incident caused extensive structural damage to the home, authorities said.
Details surrounding the events leading to the stabbing and vehicle collision have not yet been disclosed. The investigation is active and ongoing, with police stating there is no apparent threat to public safety at this time.
