SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A head-on collision involving a sedan and a Utah Transit Authority bus resulted in one fatality and six injuries in Salt Lake City.
The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. on northbound Redwood Road near 1050 South. Authorities stated the sedan was traveling south in the northbound lanes prior to the collision.
Emergency responders transported six individuals to nearby hospitals. Official reports confirm one person died in the crash.
As a result of the incident, Redwood Road was closed in both directions for the ongoing investigation. The Utah Highway Patrol is leading the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
