UTAH COUNTY, Utah — One person was killed in a crash on Timpanogos Highway early Monday morning, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., a 20-year-old man was driving westbound on SR-92 near mile marker 9 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a rock wall. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities indicated that drowsiness is suspected to be a contributing factor in the incident. No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
Both directions of the highway were closed for several hours, reopening at 6:30 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
