Delmar Motorcycle Crash Claims Two Lives
Delmar, DE — A motorcycle crash on Whitesville Road resulted in the deaths of a woman and an 11-year-old girl on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11:30 a.m., according to Delaware State Police.
Authorities reported that a 36-year-old woman and the girl, both residents of Delmar, were riding a Kawasaki Ninja eastbound when they collided with a Ford F-650 rollback truck and a Dodge Dakota.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after the accident. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Injuries among the occupants of the truck and the Dakota were not reported.
The road was closed for several hours as investigators examined the crash site. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward with any additional information related to the incident.
