BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — Hazardous material was discovered at a crash scene on Cynthiana Road Wednesday afternoon, but authorities confirmed no public danger.
The incident occurred just past Peacock Road while deputies responded to the crash site around 2:41 p.m. According to the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office, the State Emergency Response Team was summoned to assist with the hazardous materials.
Authorities stated that there were no reported injuries. Traffic was affected, and Cynthiana Road will remain closed until the area is deemed safe and the scene is clear.
