Hector Man Dies in Renville County Crash with Semi-Truck
MELVILLE TOWNSHIP, MN — A Hector man died Friday afternoon following a collision with a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 212.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, emergency crews responded at approximately 1 p.m. Authorities reported that 33-year-old Blaine Minkel was driving westbound when his vehicle struck an eastbound semi tractor-trailer.
The driver of the semi was transported to a Minneapolis hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officials stated that road conditions were dry at the time of the incident and alcohol was not a factor.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
