FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —

Tobias “Toby” Forsythe, a 21-year-old soccer goalkeeper from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell, died in a crash in Ohio on July 5.

According to university officials, Forsythe was involved in the incident over the Fourth of July weekend while returning to his home state.

UMass Lowell men's soccer coach Kyle Zenoni described Forsythe as “the definition of hard work,” noting his humility and dedication as both an athlete and a person.

The university has made counseling services available for students and staff impacted by this loss.
