Marlboro Man Killed in Route 18 Crash

A crash on Route 18 claimed the life of an 18-year-old Marlboro man on Oct. 30.

According to authorities, Anthony Hanna, a freshman at Rutgers University studying mechanical engineering, was driving alone when his vehicle left the roadway and became engulfed in flames shortly before noon, near the ramp to Route 1 South.

Police responded to the scene and found Hanna unresponsive inside the burning vehicle. He suffered injuries that were deemed fatal, as confirmed by New Brunswick Police.

Emergency services were dispatched, but Hanna was at the scene. The vehicle was towed away for further investigation.

As of now, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. No additional details regarding lane closures or other vehicles involved have been released.
