A woman lost her life in a collision involving a big rig on Tuesday in Collin County, near Lucas. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the incident occurred when the driver of a 2020 Chevrolet Spark failed to stop at a stop sign.
The crash took place at the intersection of Osage Lane and Farm-to-Market Road 1378, also known as Southview Drive. Kaysie Sparling, 55, was traveling east on Osage Lane when her vehicle collided with the large truck headed north on the roadway.
Tragically, Sparling was pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, the driver of the big rig was unharmed in the incident.
No additional injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.
