Arizona Teen Arrested on DUI Charges After Crash into Home

Kingman, AZ (KSNV) — An Arizona teenager faces multiple DUI charges following a crash on October 25.

Authorities said Lajontay Alvirez, 19, from Valle Vista, was arrested on five counts of Driving Under the Influence. Mohave County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a vehicle collision in the 7600 block of Concho Drive.

Upon arrival, deputies found a red truck that had crashed through the front wall of a residence. Alvirez and a male passenger were inside the vehicle and were evaluated by medical personnel. Fortunately, no residents were home at the time of the incident.

During the investigation, deputies detected a strong odor of alcohol from both individuals and discovered an open bottle of liquor in the truck. While being questioned, Alvirez became belligerent and was subsequently detained.

After medical clearance, Alvirez provided a blood sample that revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.267%. He was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

No injuries or fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.
