A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 West near mile marker 210 injured five people on October 10.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene at approximately 2:12 p.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The crash involved three vehicles, including a pickup truck and two sedans, which collided in the westbound lanes.
Authorities reported that multiple individuals were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the incident, two lanes of traffic were closed for approximately one hour while debris was cleared and an investigation was conducted.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays as traffic flow resumes.
