Lede: A Fortville Police officer and another driver were injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Road 67 in McCordsville early Thursday morning.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on November 2, McCordsville Police officers responded to a request for assistance from a Fortville officer involved in a collision in the 5500 block of State Road 67, near McCordsville Sports Park. Upon arrival, officials found the Fortville officer outside of his vehicle.
Both the officer and the other driver were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The nature of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Given the severity of the incident, the McCordsville Police Department has called in the Hancock County Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have not released any additional details at this time.
