POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — A 19-year-old, identified as Luke Pierce, died in a crash on Morris Creek Road Tuesday evening.
According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), Pierce was driving northbound when he lost control, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway. It subsequently went over an embankment and struck a tree.
KSP reports that Pierce was pronounced dead at the scene by Powell County Coroner Megan Wells-Curtis.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the precise circumstances.
