A crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Linden Thursday night resulted in the death of a 72-year-old Matawan man.
Adam Paduszynski was driving a Mercedes southbound in the outer roadway's left lane when his vehicle collided with a Freightliner semi-truck around 8:30 p.m. on October 23 at milepost 97.1, according to the New Jersey State Police.
Paduszynski sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the semi, 22-year-old Ayendy Gonzalez from Passaic, was unharmed.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. The right side of Paduszynski's Mercedes made contact with the front of Gonzalez's Freightliner, as stated by authorities.
