Traffic Collision Claims Lives in South Dakota, Injuries Reported
Pierre, SD – October 12, 2023 A multi-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 34 resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries Wednesday afternoon.
Around 2:41 p.m., authorities responded to a crash involving three vehicles near mile marker 12. Initial reports indicate two fatalities at the scene, while four individuals sustained injuries and were transported for medical evaluation.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol, along with local law enforcement and emergency medical services, was on-site for the investigation and traffic control. Witnesses reported that adverse weather conditions may have contributed to the incident.
